The Miss Houston Pageant showcases every aspect of being a woman-from career, to education, to motherhood, and the list continues! Because of the Miss Houston Pageant I met my best friend at a time when I needed her most. I competed in Miss Houston Teen as a first time contestant in 2023. I had never been in a pageant before but I wanted to grow as a person more than anything. Participating in Miss Houston Teen offers a platform to build confidence, communication skills, and self-expression. It provides an opportunity to connect with like-minded peers, experience personal growth, and enjoy memorable experiences. Competing in Miss Houston Teen was life-altering because it challenged me to step out of my comfort zone, develop leadership skills, and push myself to a new level. The experience of preparing for and participating in the competition boosted my self-esteem, taught me time management, and most importantly gave me confidence. I encourage anyone to participate because Miss Houston Teen opened up other opportunities for lots of the contestants. I believe that Miss Houston/ Miss Houston Teen is beneficial no matter the outcome.
